Dr. Tovar and our team love providing dental care in Peoria, Arizona. We are also dedicated and deeply concerned over international water supply shortages. With this in mind, Pleasant Valley Dentistry has teamed up with Hope 4 Kids International to provide a life changing, safe water source to the hopeful people of the Bukedea District, Uganda. Without clean water, many people, old and young alike, struggle with the water-borne diseases of cholera, typhoid, malaria, and diarrhea. This especially impacts women, children and young girls, as they are generally the waterbearers. They must trek a great distance, usually 3-6 kilometers one way, to a dirty and contaminated water source. Time spent collecting water is not spent learning to read, write, earn an income or taking care of their family. With enough funds, Hope 4 Kids can drill deep water wells that can put an end to rampant disease, can restore hope, and can make a way to break the cycle of severe poverty for the precious children in Bukedea.
Pleasant Valley Dentistry is pleased to join Hope 4 Kids International for this worthy and profound cause. Every day we take for granted such a simple and life-giving element. Clean water should never be a burden or a health risk for anyone, let alone a young child. We are excited to have this opportunity to be able to affect the lives of people across the globe who are in desperate need for this basic human need.
We will contribute a portion of every cleaning to the Pleasant Valley Dentistry Well in Uganda until the well is funded. We are equally excited to team up with all our amazing patients of Pleasant Valley Dentistry who may wish to contribute to this worthy, heartfelt and life-changing charity.
